oh, oh!
i need to say this. we had art photoshop test on thursday, 20 marks.
i grouped with huizhen and siyun. we're non photoshop people, a lil scared with that " let's just get this over with" feeling.

oh my gosh it was super funny.
bits of our conversation pieced together, dramatised, a little:

sining drags a chair over, sits with huizhen and siyun.
siyun:" ohmygodohmygod you KNOW right. you KNOW? "(looks in my direction)

sining: (swallows) "ummmm, no. "

huizhen: "nevermind! three heads are better than two." (smiles at both of us)

mr foo gives us the question paper.

we click on safari to get a picture.

"no no no, it says here we're supposed to pick a picture from a file!"

axes safari, siyun searches for file. the mouse on the screen is, well, moving alot.
file contains four pictures. question says to work on two.

sining:" the building one!"
huizhen:" the hand!"

we take the building and the hand pictures.
adjust pixels according to question and fit picture into window.
"aiya just crop alot alot!"
picture fits.
add text. words appear, well, invisible. multiple tries.
panic panic panic.

skip to next step: convert half into greyscale.
whole picture turned grey.
"what the hell? we want half!"
" nevermind nevermind, just leave it."

siyun freaks out,takes deep breaths, "okaayyy, nevermind, JUST cool down okay."
huizhen and i look at her.
huizhen: "actually its you lah, we're not even..."
(haha, siyun!)

sining: " i know i know! we can cut out the hand and put it on the building picture! yeah oh my gosh that would be so nice!"
huizhen: "oh yeah!"
siyun: "but how."
trio observes moment of silence.
stares at screen for a while.

"magnetic lasso!"
"yeah yeah!"
lassos "hand" out of picture.
"oh my gosh, what is THAT?"
laughs and more laughs.
siyun:" OKAY, its magnetic OKAYY, i can't control it."

a minute later.
disfigured hand is cropped.
"aiya nevermind! no time! "
desperate attempts to put hand on building picture.

" the text just comes with the hand!"
"shit, we don't want that!"
"are y'all even on the right layer?"
"yes!"
"okay relax!"

suddenly things just turned brighter.
we saw the text now, we did some gradient thing so it turned a nice colour really.
si yun made up a pun that connected the hand with the building.
and we had a pretty font.

"okay now don't touch it already. it looks okay."
"actually i think its quite nice"
"oh my gosh the hand looks terrible"
"nevermind nevermind"

few minutes left. fiddle and random click stuff to try stuff.

we save work. mr foo says to stop.

"eh, lets go see cheryl's"
walk over to cheryl and charlyne's table.
" eh cheryl! ours very nice leh!"
"yeah man!"
(haha)
" oh but hey i like that butterfly you guys added!"

cheryl and charlyne's, not suprisingly, is really nice.
nevertheless, we show them ours.
we realise we picked the same pictures!

okayy,so huizhen siyun and i got a 12.
but oh my gosh we had so much fun.
i <3 huizhen and siyun!

and of course cheryl and charlyne too!
